In a Conference call with Analysts [I couldn't make it but here are the excerpts] Tata Communications Ltd, erstwhile VSNL acknowledged the end of its WiMax Dream Run.
Credit Suisse Analysts wrote,
Management expressed disappointment over not having won any spectrum in the recently concluded BWA auctions in India. Management indicated that prices crossed their internal realistic valuations quite early in the auction process, and thus it opted out of the bidding.

Infotel Wins PAN India BWA Spectrum – Qualcomm Wins Delhi + Mumbai
Infotel Broadband Services Private Limited has won 20MHz [in 2.3GHz frequency] of Wireless Broadband Spectrum across all circles in India outbidding Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and even Qualcomm Inc except few circles.
There were only two slows for the 20MHz BWA Spectrum. Infotel promoted by Nahata’s of HFCL has won a PAN India Bid [One Slot in every circle] and other winners are as follows,
