Implications of the Ruling:
- Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal’s Zero Loss Theory goes down the toilet drains. Is he still fit to occupy his Chair and make decisions for the crucial Telecom Policies and Sector ?
- More Lawsuits on Spectrum/ Policy etc and Telecom sector headed for Deadlock
- Potentially good for incumbent Telecom operators as new players struggle at all ends
- Unitech’s War with Telnor will intensify as the Valuation of Uninor is now questionable without Spectrum
- New Re-Bidding for licenses means will new players who are waiting on the sidelines are eligible to bid ?
- Also awaiting confirmation on Idea Cellular’s licenses which are in the list of 122.
