Bharti Airtel’s Online Bill Pay Sucks

February 14, 2008 · Filed Under Broadband, Web

Bharti Airtel no doubt has good wireless service and better customer care, however, they have miserably failed to realize and embrace the power of Web. Their online bill pay is down for the past two days, at least whenever I have tried [customer care claims working intermittently]. Finally, after the complaint someone tried to fix it but have a look at this screen shot. After authentication this new window pops-up and the developer has pointed it to a private IP which will fail with page not found error. I have now lodged a third complaint to fix it.

Why the F*ck am I wearing a FREE tester’s cap for Airtel ? To avoid bad roads and traffic so that I can pay the bill online ;-)

I don’t even rely upon these poorly built sites for passing on my secured information.

“Lunatic” is right, Never trust these poorly built sites. Airtel has no idea of security and privacy. Airtel serves millions of customers but has no respect for the customers data.

Their sites are often broken and they want us to pay the bill online using a credit card. Are there any insurances from either the Credit card issuing Bank or company or Airtel itself if our information gets into the hands of the wrong people.

Online billl pay is very convenient but Airtel site’s bill pay system which credits the payment real time is down without notice for most of the time. Best is to schedule payment from bank’s site using credit card or bank account but it takes 2-3 days to reflect in Airtel’s account. Airtel charges 75 rs late fee in the next bill if we miss a bill pay even if it is due to their site problem and we need to follow up with cust care to revert the late fee.

Here are tutorials on how to pay you airtel bill http://www.rechargemobilephones.com/india/airtel/bill-payment/ There have been some complaints about their customer service so this site gives you more options with other companies.

    Airtel is a fraud company.

    This is not the first time issue, I have faced number of issues like this, for ex;
1st issue; I got a message from LKD services and they them self detected Rs.10/- immediately. I called airtel and raised the issue they provided refund of Rs.8/- what about the remaining 2/-. Even so I left it. That day evening i got the same message and they detected the same amount again, I called them and shouted and told them to cancel all the services that were active in my number and they provided Rs.10/- refund.

2nd issue; they started detecting 1.Rs daily, I dint notice it for a long period, when I noticed it I called them and raised the issue they told I have activated a service and that’s the reason they are detecting daily rental. How this happened, last time itself i have canceled all the services.

3rd issue; Actually I got call from airtel, I just attended the call and immediately disconnected when I came to know that is from airtel, next day when i checked my balance I lost Rs.15/- for the service that I have not activated.
I called to customer care and told my issue and raised a complaint. They are not bothered about my issue and also they told they can’t provide refund.

This is what i noticed, without my knowledge I don’t know how much they have taken from my balance account.
I am not going to use any Airtel product nor going to recommend any one for airtel.
I am going to tell this to every one I know who are all using Airtel and stop them from using airtel services.

Don’t use airtel sim/net/phone connection/any product of airtel, they will charge you unnecessarily and they wont provide refund also.

Don’t believe them, I remind you again.
If you have any of airtel products/services please change them immediately.

Be Aware, its your money that they are charging for doing nothing and that money didn’t come from sky, you have gained it by your hard work,..etc..

We have to dump them down, please join hands, since no one is asking they are doing like this. I don’t know about other networks but please don’t go for Airtel for anything.

    Airtel SUCKS.
Please help me spread this information.
    Forward to all your contacts.
If you/any of your friends/family members using airtel please tell them to change to another network as soon as possible.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Dineshkumar J

Airtel has started a new thing with mobile users. It sends SMSes, without the customer asking for it, every day for which it quietly charges Re. 1 per day for each type of SMS. This earns them a revenue of several lakhs per day for sending senseless and irrelevant SMSes. On complaining, the Nodal Officer just rants in general and on being pushed, they just reverse the charges, without ever explaining on whose authority they started this service, in the first place.

Airtel service is going down. Beware, if you get messages like this, because they are being charged to you. Immediately complain in writing and ask who has authorized this service.
