I normally don’t like to write about politics and is beyond the scope of this blog. Dayanidhi Maran has done a commendable job as the IT & Communications minister of India. However, i was shocked to read about some of his wrong doings which came to light only after his fall .
Dayanidhi favoured his brother’s Sun TV by various means. Sun TV wanted a one third stake in Tata-Sky DTH joint venture at par, a move which upset Ratan Tata. Tata was also threatned of dire consequences in running his Tata Teleservices [PAN India CDMA Wireless operator] if he failed to appease Sun TV.

Mr. Maran has managed his perception well. Without doing much has taken credit of lots of thing. He blocked license & spectrum for Raj TV to give competitive edge to Sun TV. He only favored MNC telecom & equipment providers in setting shop in India, in turn made tons of money. All his deals were made abroad so that he could deposit his money in Swiss account. He used to spend his holidays in Switzerland every year during his tenure.
