Google’s Orkut is currently the number one social networking site in India. Who said so ? I am looking at the Alexa rankings for India and it ranks even higher than Google.Co.In 🙂 The Social Networking wave is now moving towards east and MTV’s Meet or Delete, a show to power social networking will hit the Indian idiot boxes on Monday, the 9th of Oct, 2006.
As seen in the banner, its all for the trendy Indian to find a date, roommate, band member, etc. Indeed, Indians needed a choice in online social networking. Meet or Delete is a move by ViaCom to compete with NewsCorp’s MySpace.Com and ViaCom so far has the best strategy to go global rather than just concentrating in the US. However, it would be nice if Meet or Delete will go Mobile or atleast the SMS way in India.
