Tata Sky TV launched
The long awaited Tata Sky TV(Dish TV) will be soon available to you. Tata Sky is a 80:20 joint venture between Tata and Star TV. With majority of the Telcos opting for IPTV, Tata’s took the Dish TV path while Reliance communications is still in a fix.
Tata Sky intends to provide DVD quality video and CD quality audio through Tata Sky TV. The company is focused on quality and customer satisfaction by having a 24*7 call center and a strong groung workforce of 4000 folks spread throughout India. Tata Sky TV will be marketed through LG, ITC e-Choupal and IOC.
The service has an upfront sign-up fees of Rs3000 and a monthly service charge of Rs200 and will offer 55 channels such as Sony, Discovery, Disney, MTV, NDTV, ESPN STAR Sports, National Geographic, Eenadu, TV Today and Asianet.

Tata Sky service is restricted to India only. Check out Zee’s DishTVIndia.com as they serve the United States and might as well serve Middle east.

Tata sky will provide broadband internet service in future or not and it will be better to use internet service on this dish like mobile service provider providing GPRS but its to slow to access….

Pl. inform me in details the chennels you provide with “Tata-sky”, installation charges, monthly subscription and FAQs. Is it possible to acccess internet through your DTH service ? If yes, how much extra will have to pay for.

When will Tata Sky start providing internet service. I have recently switched from cable TV to TV via Tata Sky and have been very pleased with the results – Comparable price and far better service – No problem with outages due to broken cable or neighbors illegally tapping into my cable. Now I want to repeat this experience via Tata Sky Internet.
