MTNL gets NLD(STD) license.
May 14, 2006 · Filed Under Telecom
State owned MTNL has broken the BSNL barrier by entering into National Long Distance market. MTNL has over Rs900 crores NLD business every year. It has also invited bids from private players to carry its traffic as the current rates of 65 paise/minute charged by BSNL appear to be on the higher side and Bharti or Reliance may carry the same traffic at much lower cost.
